It's been more than six months since my last post, way too long to be away from friends. But, I have a good reason; a good excuse, that is. I wrote and published my second book!
Yes, I thought the first one, WHEN THE FLYING NUN CRASHED, had been a fluke and that I'd never write another book. But I was wrong and my new book, FOR FREEDOM'S SAKE, is complete. It's a story about a mother and daughter separated when the daughter is sent to the United States through Operation Peter Pan. If you've never heard of Operation Peter Pan, you need to read this book. If you've heard of it, you'll love reading how the mother and daughter's lives were impacted and how their journey unfolds and brings them together again. Check it out on Amazon.
I'm not a very good travel writer because I have too muchen traveling and forget to write. So here's a glimpse of the trip Jose and I did in our RV all around the United States during the summer. It will take me several posts to tell you all about it. So here are some highlights.
We started in California and returned to California traveling in a 31' motorhome without killing each other. That was an accomplishment!
We tried to catch as many lighthouses as we could while driving along the east coast.
We visited interesting places like the Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in Michigan, the Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin house in Buffalo, NY, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cheers in Boston, Castle in the Clouds in New Hampshire, and the National Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, the birthplace of the women's movement.
And there's lots more I'll share in the next posts. Until then, hope you're blessed with lots of travel and fun in your life. Traveling is what Jose and I enjoy most in retirement..ymooned in Niagara Falls more than forty years ago. We never saw all of the park. I think we were too busy in love. This time we saw it all. And we're still in love.
